Pierre-Simon, marquis de Laplace was a french astronomer and one of the first scientists to postulate the existence of black holes. He also proved the stability of the solar system by applying Sir Isaac Newton's theory of gravity. His telescope was imbued with space altering effects, most likely allowing the opening of wormholes.
It was in Warehouse 13 and used by Paracelsus to travel through time to June 10th 1541.
