Ivan Petrovich Pavlov was a famous Russian physiologist. Ivan Pavlov devoted his life to the study of physiology and sciences; making several remarkable discoveries and ideas that were passed on from generation to generation. His efforts did pay off in fact, as he won the Nobel Prize for physiology in 1904. Pavlov also helped form the field of psychology known as behaviorism with his famous experiment. In his experiment, Pavlov would ring a bell and give his dog a treat and he did this several times until finally the dog would automatically begin to salivate as soon as it heard the bell being rung.
