Warehouse 13 Wiki

Hatshepsut's Golden Beehive is a small golden beehive belonged to the second female Pharaoh of Egypt, Hatshepsut. She infused the artefact with pheromones of real honey bees. Hatshepsut would sting herself with the bee, in order to manipulate people with the same pheromones that a queen bee uses to control other bees. If left unchecked, people affected by the pheromones go insane with obsession, and often go to extreme and violent lengths to "protect" their queen. Hatshepsut's subjects eventually tried to mummify her husband alive for fear he'd take her place as pharaoh. It was originally collected by Warehouse 2, but now resides in Warehouse 13.

In "Queen for a Day," Pete's ex-wife, Amanda, comes to the Warehouse to visit Pete and tells him she's getting remarried, but before she leaves the golden bee accidentally falls into her purse and stings her later that day. At her wedding rehearsal, she unknowingly begins turning people into her "drones," and eventually those affected by the artifact go so far as to attempt to kill her fiancé, Michael. Fortunately, Myka is able to remove the stinger before anyone is seriously hurt.

Bee

If a person is stung by the bee, its stinger goes inside their body and anyone that touches the user's bee sting becomes their drone and the user their queen. The drones will do whatever their queen tells them to do. However, eventually the drones will develop overprotective attitudes towards their queen, killing anybody, other than a drone, who comes near her. The only way to undo the artifact's effect is to place the bee against the user's left clavicle, then the stinger will automatically be drawn out of the body and all drones will return to normal.

Beehive

The beehive doesn't seem to have any other affects other than to simply be a container for the bee.
