In Jersey City, NJ, the police gather outside an auditorium holding an exhibition on the history of rock music. Lightning shoots out from the building as the ATF remove an employee who says he took a woman in for an after-hours tour who was into Jimi Hendrix. ATF agent Steven Jinks tells his partner Chuck that the worker they ushered out is telling the truth and he's there for a date, and has nothing to do with the bomb they think is responsible. As they talk, Steve notices Pete going into the exhibit and follows him.

Pete meets Artie and Claudia, who are trying to get close to Hendrix's guitar. It is firing blasts of electricity, and Artie sends Pete to rescue the girl while he and Claudia deal with the guitar. She gets out a sphere and tosses it down the hallway, stunning the approaching ATF agents with her new Tesla grenade. However, Steve gets behind them and orders them to get down. They try to lie but he knows what they're doing. Finally, Artie tells him the truth, that Claudia needs to use Hendrix's tremolo bar to shut down the guitar. Steve thanks him for being honest and tells them to get to it. Claudia attaches the bar and shuts down the guitar just in time. Meanwhile, Pete sprays down the phone booth that the woman is trapped in and puts out the fire. Claudia insists on playing briefly and then hands it over to Artie, so they can replace it with a replica.

Steve demands to know who they are and how they got into the museum. Artie takes a Tesla gun out of his bag and stuns Steve. Pete comes over with the grateful woman, who thinks that they're firemen. She asks how she can thank Pete and he loans her his coat. As she leaves, Claudia notes that Pete is acting uncharacteristically restrained. Pete dismisses it as nothing unusual and leaves, and Artie and Claudia figure they need to get Myka back.

Steve returns home and gets a message saying that his superior doesn't believe his story about what happened at the exhibit. The next message is from Mrs. Frederic, who tells him to turn on the light. She's already in his apartment and says that she needs him to fill a vacant position. When he wonders if she's telling the truth, Mrs. Frederic knows that he already knows as he's looking into her eyes. She tells him to prepare for a world of endless wonder.

As Steve makes his way to Warehouse 13, Artie and Leena unload the new items from Warehouse 2 and tell Pete that he needs a new partner, and Steve is the only suitable one they can find. Pete objects and complains that they're trying to replace Myka.

Steve pulls up outside and Claudia meets him. She comments on his expensive car and then leads him inside through the umbilicus.

In the office, Pete complains that he doesn't need a partner who can tell when he's lying. Claudia brings Steve in and Artie introduces him to his new partner. Pete claims that he's looking forward to working with him, but Steve knows that he's lying.

In Denver, reporter Monica Hoffman is at home talking to her editor, Bob, about a story she's doing about bankers meeting at the Regalton Hotel. She receives a delivery of figs with a piece of paper attached. Monica briefly examines the paper and then throws it in the trash. When she opens the basket, snakebites appear on her hand and chest and she hears vague voices. She collapse to the floor and mumbles about Antony into her Bluetooth before dying.

Artie offers cookies to Steve, who is less than thrilled that he stunned him with a Tesla. Claudia suggests that Steve start in the Warehouse while she goes out in the field with Pete. Artie tells them that it isn't going to happen and explains about how they snag, bag, and tag artifacts. As he gives him a brief glimpse of the Warehouse, a lightning storm starts. They go to Claudia's new periscope and discover that the storm is coming from a pyramid in the Ancient Archives. Artie gets a pneumatic tube message summoning him to the Ovoid Quarantine. As he tries to assign everyone, they get a ping from Denver.

In Denver, Steve and Pete confirm that Monica died of a snake bite. Artie suggests that George Went Hensley's Bible may be the artifact involved. When Pete jokes, Steve doesn't laugh, much to Pete's disappointment. Once Artie signs off, he makes his way to the Ancient Archives and discovers that a statue of Zeus is generating the lightning storm.

As Pete and Steve go over Monica's apartment, they find residue in the wastebasket and suspect the artifact killed and destroyed the evidence. Artie discovers that Claudia and Leena are unloading a crate containing an artifact, and they realize that whatever is in the crate is exciting the Zeus statue.

The local FBI agent, Sally Stukowski, arrives at Hoffman's apartment and demands to know why Steve and Pete are involved. She explains that the FBI suspects a terrorist attack and Pete realizes that it's her first big case. Sally snaps at them and has her agents escort them out.

Artie confirms that the new arrival is a statue of Hera. He sprays it with neutralizer liquid, but it burns right off, so Artie goes to the office to study up on Greek mythology.

A man named Charlie enters his hotel and finds a mailman putting a flier in his box. The mailman addresses him by name and leaves, and Charlie removes a piece of paper with a picture. It bursts into flame and Charlie clutches at his body as he is stabbed repeatedly by invisible knives. A woman arrives and Charlie mutters a name to her before dying. Pete and Steve arrive and talk to the woman, who explains that Charlie was an actor and worked at the Regalton Hotel as a waiter for a banker's meeting. They realize that Hoffman also worked at the hotel. When Sally arrives, she orders them out but Pete explains that they deal in the weird and can help her. Sally reluctantly accepts their help, but doesn't believe their hotel suspicion is valid. When she claims she doesn't know about the banker's meeting, Steve realizes that she's lying. Sally insists that her job is to make sure that the meeting goes off without a hitch and orders them out.

Artie sets up a lightning rod in the office and discovers that the two statues were involved in the Battle of Compendium in 306 BC. He explains that when Hera found out that Zeus was cheating on her, the two started fighting. Now the statues are back together again and they have to separate them.

At the Regalton, Pete bribes a bellman to let them in. Steve realizes that Charlie said Et tu, Brute, and that Hoffman died saying Antony's name just like in Cleopatra. Both plays are by Shakespeare, and Pete realizes who they need to go to for answers. He goes to the Bering family bookstore where Myka is working. She insists that she's not going to go back, but Pete says he needs her expertise. Steve comes in and Pete introduces him to Myka, who finally gives in when Steve asks her. She realizes that each victim said the dying words of the victim in the play before they died. Myka recognizes the poses of the dead people from the photos and shows them a reproduction of The Lost Folio, with pictures that mirror the poses of Monica and Charlie. An actor had cursed it when Shakespeare fired him for not remembering his lines, and Myka starts to get involved. Pete takes the reproduction and says that they don't need her help anymore. Once Pete leaves, Steve thanks Myka for her help and tells her that Pete was lying about not needing her help.

At the Univille Garden Conservatory, Artie and Claudia are working when Pete gives them an update. Once Pete signs off, they plant the statue of Zeus and rig it so that they'll receive an alert if someone tries to move it.

Pete and Steve go to the Regalton and try to work out the connection between the victims. They figure Monica was killed, so she wouldn't give away the secret meeting and scare away the bankers, and Charlie, so his killer could use his waiter credentials. Pete suddenly gets a bad feeling. As he tries to pin it down, Steve receives an envelope from the bellboy. He opens it and finds a picture from the Lost Folio. He collapses and Pete is unable to do anything. Myka arrives and tells Steve to recite the proper lines. When he does, he breaks the spell. Pete seals the page in a neutralizer bag and it bursts into flames without killing Steve. Once Steve recovers, Myka explains that Steve would have died just like in Othello. She has done research and confirms that according to legend, the person who touches a page with a picture will die the same way. Someone must utter the dying line before the page bursts into flame to save themselves. They try to work out if the bankers are the target, and Pete asks if Myka is back in. She insists that she's only there to help, but Pete says that they don't need a consultant. He complains that she walked out on him and they start to argue, but Steve interrupts and says they should check the surveillance tapes.

The agents go over the footage and find the man who dropped the envelope off at the desk. They figure the man plans to set off a panic in the financial markets and try to figure out their next step. Pete figures they can use Sally to their advantage. They take to the floor of the meeting as waiters. As the meeting starts, Pete spots the man with the envelope, up at the table handing out folders. As Pete moves toward him, Sally interrupts them. The men at the table open the folders and see the pictures from the Lost Folio. Myka runs up to the stage and directs them what lines to say before the pages burst into flame. Meanwhile, Pete and Steve tackle the FBI agents and hold them off, but are taken away once the chaos dies down.

Later, Pete returns to the hotel and says goodbye to Myka as she drives away. Steve and Sally confirm that the last pages were in a hotel room but the killer is gone. Sally reluctantly thanks Pete for his help and tells him not to come back to Denver. As she goes, Pete figures that she wants him.

At the Warehouse, the lightning storms have died down. Claudia finds a beetle scarab which comes to life and digs into the floor.

Back at her family bookstore, Myka is reading when Mrs. Frederic arrives to thank her. She then asks Myka to speak with Helena. Mrs. Frederic says that she can't hurt anyone and then leaves them alone. Helena says that they became friends because they are so much alike, and never wanted what she did to drive Myka away from the Warehouse. She explains that Myka shouldn't let hate turn to fear, and says that she isn't really there. Myka realizes that she's a projected image, and Helena says that she's being held somewhere and Mrs. Frederic can transport her consciousness. As she tells Myka to think about what she's said, Mrs. Frederic ends the transmission.

Later, Myka returns to the Warehouse and Claudia and Leena are thrilled to see her. She assures them that she's back. When Pete and Steve come in, Steve wonders if he's out of a job. Pete tells him that nobody leaves except feet first, and then welcomes Myka back. Artie comes in, sees Myka, and simply says, "Good." He then tells everyone to find their mystery man in Denver because that's what they do.

The killer reports to his superior that he had to leave the Lost Folio behind, and that Myka is back with the team. The superior has a woman murder him: Sally Stukowski.

Artifacts and Gadgets FeaturedEdit

  • William Shakespeare's Lost Folio: Thought to be cursed by an actor fired by Shakespeare because he couldn't remember his lines, when someone touches and sees the engraving on a page, they re-enact the scene and die the way the character did, reciting that character's last line as the page bursts into flames. The only way to escape from the death is to recite the last line before the page burns up. It is the main artifact of the episode.
  • Statues of Zeus and Hera: Causes very dangerous electrical storms when the statues are in close proximity with one another.
  • Holographic Projection Sphere: Containing the Janus coin, the sphere allows for holographic projection of the consciousness of those imprinted on the Janus coin.
  • Jimi Hendrix's Guitars: Plays on its own and emits large amounts of electricity, enough for the electrical grid of the eastern seaboard to almost crash. The guitar is neutralised when the tremolo bar is attached to bend the pitch of the guitar strings.
  • Tesla Grenade: Acts like a Tesla gun but is capable of zapping multiple people at the same time when triggered.
  • Ice Pressure Nozzle: When attached to a fire hose, it provides a stream of ice and frost to snuff out fires. Artie handed it to Pete to save a bystander while retrieving Jimi Hendrix's guitar because the electricity was too much of a hazard to use water.
  • Pneumatic Tube and Capsule: Sends messages by speaking into the capsule and transporting it to the recipient. Once they receive it they can listen to the message.
  • Scarab of Imhotep: Comes alive and constantly burrows in and out of the ground.
