Eugene Hall , 85, a Sun City resident, served in the Army's 110th Infantry Regiment. He recalls Sept. 14, 1944, the day he was wounded by enemy fire after passing through an array of concrete obstacles called "dragons' teeth" in western Germany.

Have you seen the midseason premiere "The Living and the Dead" yet?? I'm glad Artie ended up being saved, although I think we all knew he would be - the show wouldn't work without him. It was interesting to see Polly Walker (Caprica, Rome) as Charlotte Dupres, it will be interesting to see where the writers go with her character. I don't think it was a good decision to "fix" the plague situation so quickly when they could have stretched it out over another episode or two, it made the "We All Fall Down" cliffhanger seem like we got all worked up over nothing.

After months of on and off work on this thing, I finally decided to post the first part of the first episode.

  Tyler Lepido wiped his brow as he sat in the sweltering hot seat of the greyhound bus.  He had spent the last few days jumping buses from Tallahassee, Florida to…well, he didn’t exactly know where.  His ticket just said ‘Unnamed, Unincorporated Settlement, South Dakota’.  The best Google could give him was a speck in the middle of the Badlands, but after getting kicked out of his last school, he was running out of options.

We all have those stroy arcs we love, but a show never has the decency to follow through on. Whether it's about two characters getting together, an old enemy rearing their ugly head, or even a cameo showing up again, we just enjoy these events, characters, and situations. However, there are also those story acrs that we don't want any more of. An obnoxious character who ruins things, an overused idea or just a boring story there are those arcs that we don't care if we ever see again.
